Enjoy a compelling talk about Oxford’s romantic ghost stories before embarking on an after-dark tour of the 1000-year-old castle prison where couples will definitely test their nerve…together!
A genuinely scary evening at Oxford Castle & Prison where you will be regaled with haunting love stories whilst drinking chilled prosecco, followed by a spooky tour of the site in search of the scary spirits, arm-in-arm with your Valentine’s Date!
The whole evening will be hosted by Dr. Ciaran O’Keeffe, ex-Most Haunted Parapsychologists and specialist in the Psychology of Fear.
Psychology has long established research around the term Misattribution of arousal (or Confusable Arousal) in which people experiencing a physiological response due to fear could mislabel the response as romantic arousal. Essentially the two situations (romance and fear) have similar physiological symptoms (e.g. increased blood pressure, faced-paced heartbeats or shortness of breath). The feeling of fear can easily overlap or be confused with a feeling of being attracted to someone or even falling in love… come along to learn more!
