Workshops

Bring Oxford’s rich history to life at Oxford Castle and Prison! Enjoy cross-curricular workshops providing children with exciting activities; including role-playing, literacy development and practical problem-solving. Suitable for KS1-KS5, sessions can be linked directly to the national curriculum or tailored to your teaching criteria.

All our workshops include a costumed guided tour of the castle and prison. Climb the 101 steps to the top of St. George’s Tower, then descend underground into the atmospheric Norman crypt, explore our prison cells and discover the great stories of our most famous inmates.

Please note for Year 1 groups – any pupils under 5 will need to wait at the bottom of St.George’s tower, accompanied by an adult, as we are unable to allow under 5’s up the tower due to health and safety reasons.
