The Oxford Shakespeare Festival 2024

The Oxford Shakespeare Festival is back for its 14th year! Wild Goose Theatre (previously Tomahawk Theatre), BMH Productions, and Siege Theatre are putting on marvellous performances of Shakespeare’s finest classics. The Oxford Shakespeare Festival is an outdoor theatre experience that takes place on the Castleyard of Oxford Castle & Prison.

Twelfth Night

Separated from her twin brother Sebastian in a shipwreck, Viola disguises herself as a boy, calls herself Cesario, and becomes a servant to the Duke Orsino.  A romantic story with mistaken identities, practical jokes, music, dance and song.

In the grandeur of 1920s Denmark, amid the echoes of the Great War, and the ominous shadow of another conflict, our summer production of Hamlet places the famed Dane at the heart of a world ripped apart by turmoil and political unrest.
